Action items on the partner page
Every open item about one partner now shows up right on their page, each with a button that takes care of it on the spot. No bell to click, no trip to Alerts & Tasks first. A small bell with the count sits beside the heading, and it rings while something on the list is urgent.
Where to find it
Where to find it: Sidebar → My Network → Partners → click a row → look below the relationship strength strip on the partner card. If there is nothing open for that partner, the section is not there at all.
The strip is titled Action Items for {their first name}. It lists up to three items to start, with a Show N more link if there are more.
What shows up here
Anything your assistant is tracking for this one partner lands in this list. A few examples of what you might see and what the button next to it does:
- An introduction your assistant found from a meeting. Something like "Introduce Maria Rodriguez to Rosalind Pierce." Make the intro opens the introduction composer with both people already filled in and the note already written. You still read it and press Send.
- A drafted note. A thank-you, a check-in, or a status update your assistant wrote for this partner. If it is already written, Review & send opens it in the composer. If it has not been written yet, Generate draft writes it first, then opens it. Either way, nothing goes out until you send it.
- A question about an introduction. When your assistant checks with someone before an introduction goes through, the button names exactly what it needs from you, like Review the nudge or Confirm the answer.
- Something you owe them from a meeting. A follow-up task from a recorded meeting shows a Mark done button that checks it off right there.
- A pending profile update. If your assistant noticed something new about this partner and is waiting on you to confirm it, the row names exactly what changed, for example "Approve Maria's Desired Partner Types update," or "Approve Maria's profile update (Desired Partner Types, Job Title)" when more than one field is involved. Review takes you straight to that item.
- A reminder about your side of the relationship. Contact overdue, a referral that has not converted yet, or a lopsided give-and-take between you two. Each carries its own button: Draft a Check-In (or Log a Touchpoint if you do not have their email), View Referrals, or Send a Referral. These clear on their own once the situation changes. There is nothing to dismiss because there is nothing to hide, only something to fix.
- An account matter tied to this partner. A compliance document or setting that needs attention shows a Resolve button.
If a row came from something said in a recorded meeting, it names the date, for example "from the Sep 3 meeting," and links to it, so you can see the context before you act.
The ⋮ menu
Most rows carry a small ⋮ menu with Dismiss, and Snooze where it applies. The reminders about your side of the relationship and the pending profile updates do not carry this menu. There is nothing to dismiss on those: they clear on their own once the situation changes, or you handle them from the review queue itself.
Why the bell is gone
The partner page used to show a small bell in the corner when something needed attention. It worked, but a badge on its own is easy to skim past. Matt's call: put the actual items and buttons in front of you instead of hiding them behind an icon you have to click first. The bell now sits beside the heading with the count, so you still see it at a glance, and the items are already open beneath it. Finishing something here clears it from your Daily Briefing and from Alerts & Tasks too, since all three read the same list.
When a button takes you somewhere else, such as Send a Referral, the app brings you back to the partner's page once you finish or close what you opened.
Next Steps has not changed
Just below the action items is Next Steps, the one plan you have set for this partner, usually their own promise to you. That field is still yours to write and edit by hand. It is not generated, and this update does not touch it.
Seeing Who Needs You From the Partners List
You do not have to open a partner's page to see whether anything is open for them. A small bell with a number sits at the end of their name on both the Partners list and the Board. It turns rust when at least one item is urgent and stays muted gray when nothing is. It is not clickable by itself, it is just a count. Click the row or card the same way you always do to see what those items actually are.
To see everyone with something open first, open the Sort menu on the Partners list and choose Needs you first. It puts partners with urgent items at the top, then everyone else with anything open, ranked by how much is open.
Asking Your Assistant About One Partner
You do not need to open a partner's page to hear what is open for them. Ask your assistant something like:
What do I need to do for Maria?
Anything open with Robert?
Do I owe Maria anything?
It reads back the same rows and buttons this page shows, including anything about your side of the relationship and any pending profile update, and if more than one partner matches the name, it asks you which one instead of guessing. Since it is only reading, nothing goes out or gets marked done until you say so.
On the iOS app
The Action Items strip is on the web partner page today. In the app, ask your assistant instead: "What do I still need to do for Dana Whitfield?" reads back everything open for that partner, with the button each item would show on the web, and you can act on the drafted ones by voice from there.
If a partner's list is getting long, "Show N more" is faster than scrolling the whole page. Everything is already sorted so the most pressing item is always first.
