How do I create a self-introduction?

Short answer: introductions in ReferralPulse are always between two other people, with you (or one of your partners) as the person making the connection. You are never one of the two parties in an introduction, so there isn't a "self-introduction" in the literal sense. There is almost always a better record for what you are trying to capture, though, so here is how to pick it.

If a Partner Became Your Client

This is what most people mean. You met a partner, you got to talking, and now they are paying you for your work directly. There was no third person connecting you. Log that as a self-referral, not an introduction.

Where to find it: Sidebar → Referrals → Receive Referral → pick the partner → check This is a self-referral.

ReferralPulse uses the partner's details as the client and skips the introducing-party section. See Can the same person be a partner and a client? for the full walkthrough.

If Someone Connected You to a New Contact

If a partner introduced you to someone new, that is a real introduction, and it belongs on your Introductions Received list. You don't create it as a self-introduction. Either the partner logs it, or you log it as a received introduction from that partner.

Where to find it: Sidebar → Introductions → Log Past Intro, then choose the partner who made the connection.

If You Want to Introduce Two People

When you connect two people in your network, that is a standard introduction with you as the introducer. You pick the two people, not yourself.

Where to find it: Sidebar → Introductions → Make Introduction.

Tip

If you are reaching out to introduce yourself to a brand new prospect, that is outreach rather than something to log here. Add them as a partner or contact first, then track whatever comes next as a referral or an introduction once a real exchange happens.

On the iOS app

Ask your assistant in plain language and it will route you to the right record. Say "a partner just hired me as a client" and it sets up a self-referral. Say "someone introduced me to a new contact" and it logs a received introduction.
